Thomas Hutsch studied material science and is working as a research assitant on sintered and composite materials for thermal management, damping and ballistic armour. The work combines the material design, composite powder manufacturing, heat treatment planning as well as the tool design for sintering to generate material samples, prototypes up to small series production as well as know-how transfer to industrial production. He is also well experienced in thermal analysis to evaluate specific properties like thermal conductivity, specific heat, coefficient of thermal expansion, phase transition temperatures as well as enthalpy determination.
