Dr. Mihaela Mihai is a Senior Research Officer at National Research Council of Canada, Advanced Manufacturing - Automotive and Surface Transportation Research Center. She is a specialist in polymer chemistry and engineering. She is an expert in compounding of composites, polymers and composites foaming, injection molding, and in fabrication of biocomposites for automotive parts lightening. Dr. Mihai has an important experience in Additive Manufacturing - Fused Filaments Fabrication of thermoplastics and their composites. She is actively working to advance this technology and to render it able for industrial production of parts for aerospace and ground transportation. She is the author of more than 60 scientific publications and 150 technical reports for industry.
