Javier Vazquez-Armendariz is a Mechatronics Engineer with a Masters degree in Advance Manufacturing Systems and PhD in Engineering Sciences. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the NSF HAMMER Engineering Research Center at The Ohio State University working on the development of a new industry based on a “manufacturing for design” approach. Research interests include the use of advanced biofabrication techniques, such as melt electrowriting, and metal-forming technologies for the biomanufacturing of novel medical devices. He is also a researcher at the Center for Additive and Digital Manufacturing (MADiT, Mexico), and a member of the Research Group in Advanced Manufacturing at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico.
