Jake Robinson is an advanced manufacturing research engineer for Harrisburg University of Science and Technology. As a member of the STORMWERX Center at Harrisburg University, Jake conducts both independent and team-oriented research in the field of advanced manufacturing with a focus on printed electronics and hybrid manufacturing. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Virginia Military Institute, Mr. Robinson worked in the Center for Composite Materials at the University of Delaware, while working toward a master’s in mechanical engineering. Working on a variety of projects at UD, Mr. Robinson focused on robotics and the implementation of hybrid manufacturing to produce functional three-dimensional electronics and systems within a single unit cell. Since joining the team at Harrisburg University, Jake has broadened his reach to cover additive, subtractive, hybrid, and small electronics manufacturing, with applications specific to the defense industry.
