Engineering Fellow - Additive Manufacturing
Donald has been the driving force within Honeywell Corporation and its locations across 72 countries for implementing 3D Printing technology. He designed and currently directs the global strategic vision for AM technology and is now focusing on the development of a global supply chain for powder manufacturing and printing with the objective of printing Honeywell components across North America, Europe and Asia.
Donald led the integration of Additive Manufacturing into the Honeywell business culture and has technology responsibility for the laboratories in Brno, Czech Republic, Shanghai, China, Bangalore, India and Phoenix, Arizona.
Donald serves as the Chair to the Honeywell Aerospace Intellectual Property Steering Committee for Additive Manufacturing Technology.
In the summer of 2016, Donald was awarded the Honeywell Navigator Award for corporate integration of Additive Manufacturing. This award is given one person per quarter across Honeywell’s 30,000 plus employees to a person that has helped the company move its culture in a positive way to strengthen long term business opportunities.
Donald Godfrey holds a BS from Purdue University and an MS from Indiana Wesleyan University. He earned a Continuation Education Diploma from The University of Wisconsin – Madison in the area of Value Engineering and a Masters Certificate from The George Washington University in the area of Project Management.
He is a Honeywell Certified Black Belt and Lean Expert
Donald has been awarded over 30 patents in North American in the area of Additive Manufacturing as well as several in Europe.
