Artem Trofimov holds a B.S./M.S. in Physics from the Russian State University of Aviation Technology and an M.S. in Materials Science from Clemson University. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Clemson University, with research focused on ceramic scintillators. Following completion of his Ph.D., Artem conducted postdoctoral research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, focusing on thermal analysis and material properties. Currently, Artem is a Senior Application Scientist at the Edward Orton Jr. Ceramic Foundation (or simply, Orton), where he specializes in thermophysics and thermal characterization of materials using a variety of advanced techniques. His expertise spans methods such as Hot Disk, Hot Wire, Laser Flash, DSC, Dilatometry, etc. applied to a range of industrial and research applications.
