Synthesis of Polyvinylidene Fluoride/perovskite Composite for UV-photodetectors

Conference Abstract: Additive manufacturing (AM) technologies have shown a great research interest for developing innovative materials with novel properties. Application of halide perovskites in AM technologies is hindered by their instability at ambient conditions. Here, we use the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer and CsPbBr3 halide perovskite to fabricate polymer/perovskite composite-based UV-photodetector. Compared to pristine perovskite, spin-coated PVDF/CsPbBr3 composites are fully-covered homogeneous layers with uniformly distributed perovskite in the polymer matrix. Furthermore, perovskite structure modulation has been studied through using different (Cs/Pb) ratios. High-Cs containing perovskites-based photodetectors have demonstrated higher photoluminescence and faster photo-response than that of low-Cs containing devices. These findings highlight the importance of additive manufacturing and structural engineering in developing innovative materials with novel properties.
