Conference Abstract: Strict requirements in Aerospace and Defense sectors require Additive manufactured parts to undergo rigorous development and testing, all while maintaining tight timelines. Component shapes are developed to stringent specifications with emphasis in Material properties, NDT Inspection, manufacturability. The dynamic design loop occurs in three stages: Development, Verification, and Robustness. When completed earnestly, the design loop lends towards repeatable, compliant production processes. This presentation will discuss the interconnected nature of the three stages and how they create compliant production materials. The three-stage approach to transition from development to production creates components which are manufacturable and inspectable ensuring compliance to Aerospace and Defense requirements.
