Conference Abstract: Managing a clinical workflow for additive manufacturing at the point-of-care requires strategic planning, seamless communication, and robust organization. Learn about how Mayo Clinic’s Anatomic Modeling Unit (AMU) coordinates their workflow and how the tracking and documentation of their clinical cases has evolved throughout the years. This presentation will illustrate how the AMU customized a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to assist with streamlining and documenting the AMU’s clinical workflow, evolving into a one-way integration from our electronic health records system, Epic. In addition, it will be demonstrated how non-clinical print requests are incorporated and managed within the system. This presentation seeks to address and inspire new or longstanding point-of-care facilities with ideas of optimizing and organizing their day-to-day data and case management.
