Complex Shape Duplex Fuel Nozzle for Aircraft Jet Engine Realized by Ceramic AM

Using ceramic additive manufacturing for the conception of single use tooling for casting metal parts is enabling new concepts never possible before. Aristo-Cast used the Nano Dimension technology and materials to produce investment casting shells in which standard stainless steel was casted and a complex duplex fuel nozzle was created. The know technology to realize those such parts was direct metal laser sintering (DMLS). The casting technology has three key advantages over DMLS; standard certified casting metals can be used, the surface quality of the casted parts are comparable to high quality casting and the part cost are significantly reduced.
