Aerospace Manufacturing Automation Solutions

Aerospace has significant automation challenges due to the scope of the manufacturing. The low volume, high mix nature of aerospace processes combined with the overall size and accuracy requirements of the components requires an automation approach completely different than automotive and other industries. This presentation will show many successful aerospace automation applications spanning drilling/fastening, sealant, assembly operations, high accuracy applications, etc... that are not commonly automated. The content will include lessons learned, common mistakes that lead to failure, and help the audience solve common problems at their facility that are typically difficult to automate. Topics including data collection, AI realistic use, and process accuracy tools will be included in the automation application examples.
