Dr. Shepard is the Vice President of Aerospace and Defense at 3D Systems. His previous positions include eight years at MTS Systems where he was the Global Market Director for Aerospace. Prior to that he worked for 16 years at the Materials and Manufacturing and Aerospace Systems Directorates of the United Stated Air Force Research Laboratory where he led the Behavior and Life Prediction Section and the Structures Technology Branch as a civilian engineer. His technical expertise include mechanical metallurgy, mechanical testing, fracture mechanics, aerospace structural integrity, and additive manufacturing.
