Dr Richard Billo is the Founding Director of the Kummer Institute Center for Advanced Manufacturing at Missouri S&T. His research is in the emerging technologies of additive manufacturing. Dr Billo has served as Head of the Journals Committee for SME’s Journal of Manufacturing Processes and Journal of Manufacturing Systems. In past roles, he was Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Notre Dame, Associate Dean of Research for the University of Texas at Arlington, and Department Head of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Oregon State University. Dr Billo has patented and licensed four technologies and served as President of two engineering firms.
