Andrea Barnes is a trailblazer at the intersection of additive manufacturing and quality management. Andrea currently serves as the Director of Quality Management at Big Metal Additive, where she led the establishment of BMA’s AS9100-certified Quality Management System, with responsibility for implementing quality standards such as NASA, Navy, API, ASME, and others. Her background encompasses production engineering at an aerospace investment casting foundry and leading corporate process control initiatives across a dozen global sand foundries. This diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and quality management, from individual engineering roles to global corporate leadership. She has a Six Sigma Blackbelt and a BS in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
