Stuart’s career started with an engineering Technical Apprenticeship with DANA Corporation. Becoming a manufacturing engineer he focused on the introduction of the latest CNC technology in the production of critical flight components for Westland Helicopters. Moving into the Machine tool industry in the late 1980’s focussing on high production Japanese Machinery. His first experience with 3D printing began in 1994 by introducing a LOM 3D printer to the UK. In 2002 Stuart joined EOS to head up the UK operation. Responsible for both management and commercial activity and eventually becoming the UK Director. Moving to Renishaw in 2016 as Business in their Metal Additive Manufacturing Division. With a global responsibility supporting for the various subsidiaries within Renishaw and direct management of significant Key accounts in the Aerospace, Consumer goods and industrial sectors. During this period, he served as a Director of the US based Association of Metal Additive Manufacturers (AMAM). Moving to Carbon Forest Products Ltd in 2022 responsible for R&D and industrialisation as well as joining the University of Birmingham as a visiting scholar.
