Andre Deleon is the Lab Operations Manager at ASTRO, responsible for multi-disciplinary projects focused on developing and improving material characterization across various additive materials and fabrication methods. He specializes in working with customer Materials Engineers to develop test matrices to qualify material and processes for flight programs. He is also responsible for aiding in the development of heat treatment processes of additive material, evaluation of material properties, and is an integral part of customer additive parameter development. As a founder of ASTRO, Andre has spearheaded expansion of testing capabilities, which includes collaboration with industry leaders, technology developers and outside vendors to ensure uninterrupted service provision to additive manufacturers. Andre conducts various materials characterization projects at ASTRO to better understand and improve upon AM materials, experimenting with new additive manufacturing technologies to understand their impact on material microstructure and properties. Andre graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University and has since served as a Systems Analyst and Lead Quality Engineer for Additive Production Parts.
