Ashley Totin serves as the Additive Manufacturing Portfolio Manager at BlueForge Alliance, where she leads groundbreaking initiatives to integrate advanced manufacturing technologies within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Her work is instrumental in supporting the U.S. Navy's ambitious goal of certifying nine additive manufacturing (AM) material and print modality combinations within three years, driving innovation in critical applications such as Subsafe components for submarines.
Previously, Ashley was a Senior Project Engineer at America Makes, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Institute, operated by the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM). She managed the $26 million AMNOW Program, developing a digital additive manufacturing supply chain for the U.S. Army. Her achievements have been widely recognized, including her selection as one of SME’s "30 Under 30" in 2022 and her recognition as one of Manufacturing USA’s "Modern Makers" in 2023.
She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Youngstown State University (YSU), along with a minor in mathematics and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
