Kaya Bayazitoglu is a PhD student in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin researching process development in additive manufacturing. In addition to hands-on experience with a variety of AM processes, his work includes research on the selective laser flash sintering process for additive manufacturing of ceramics. His current research supported by L3Harris Technologies focuses on the use of acousto-optic deflectors to dramatically improve the processing speed of the stereolithography process.
