Dr. Dimitri Papazoglou is a principal engineer within the Additive Group at the Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence within OSU. Dr. Papazoglou has a decade of additive manufacturing experience within polymers and metal additive manufacturing. His Ph.D. research has focused on developing next generation titanium lattice structures for orthopedic applications using laser-powder bed fusion. Dr. Papazoglou has conducted additive studies using beam-shaping lasers, along with feasibility studies on the sustainability of additive manufacturing. His current research interests are focused on developing next generation materials for laser-powder bed fusion such as refractories, titanium, and aluminum alloys, in addition to interests in producing RF devices and medical devices using metal-based additive manufacturing.
