Shashank Kanakamedala is a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU), advised by Dr. David Prawel. He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research, India. His current research focuses on developing a 3D-printed endoprosthetic sleeve aimed at enhancing bone growth on scaffolds for the treatment of large bone defects. Shashank's work combines advanced biomaterials and mechanical design to address critical challenges in orthopedic applications.
