Kevin Padden
Business Development Manager
Formlabs
Joined Formlabs with a background in mechanical engineering and turnkey CNC grinding programs for automotive and power generation industries, now leading business development efforts into more industrial spaces for desktop hardware. I moved over from high volume metal removal to the desktop additive world because I saw witnessed first hand the inefficiencies on the shop and production floor because additive was seen primarily as a toy, a gimmick for prototypes and models that did not have a place in real production. Meanwhile, machines would break and takes days or weeks to bring online due to complex supply chains or onerous service plans when the dismissed but capable printers could solve their problems faster and with less expense. I'm seek to continue to evangelize and develop for the practical use cases of additive for manufacturers.
