Research Engineer II
Georgia Tech Research Institute
Mr. Lee has a 15 year history in the Unmanned Systems field having experience designing, integrating, and operating research aircraft of many sizes and configurations. As head of the Unmanned Flight Operations and System Integration Branch of GTRI’s Robotics and Autonomous Systems Division, he is responsible for putting payloads and autonomous behaviors into the air, having flown one of the first fully autonomous swarms of 30 aircraft, as well as piloting the first two civilian NASC Tigersharks. The research nature of this flight requires rapid integration so he has made a lot of use of additive manufacturing techniques in recent years.
