Maryam Tilton is a PhD candidate at Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Pennsylvania State University. She joined the SHAPE Lab in September 2016. Prior to joining the Penn State University, she worked as a Research Engineer at Ultrasound and Cardiovascular Laboratory in National University of Singapore (NUS). Her work at NUS was focused on hemodynamic simulation for fetal hearts for prediction of congenital heart diseases. Currently, she is working on developing design methodologies for additive manufacturing of custom implants with a focus on large bone defects. Her research interests include modeling, design optimization and additive manufacturing of implants and biomedical devices.
