Maryam Jahanzad is a PhD candidate at Department of Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering, Penn State University. She joined the SHAPE Lab from September 2016. Prior to joining the Penn State University, she worked as a Research Engineer at Ultrasound and Cardiovascular Laboratory in National University of Singapore (NUS). Her work at NUS was focused on dynamic blood flow simulation. Currently, she is working on Additive Manufacturing of Custom Implants For Lare Bone Defects. Her research interests include modeling, design optimization and additive manufacturing of implants and biomedical devices.
