W.M. Keck Center for 3D Innovation / UTEP
David Espalin is the Associate Director of the W.M. Keck Center located at The University of Texas at El Paso. The Keck Center focuses on Additive Manufacturing, also commonly known as 3D Printing, and houses more than 50 3D Printing machines capable of processing metals, ceramics, polymers, composites, biological, and electrical materials. David’s research focuses on hybrid 3D Printing processes, which includes the interruption of a 3D Printing process to execute complementary processes, like wire embedding or machining, on a layer by layer basis.
