Not only will you be at the center of all the activities, but the convenience far outweighs any benefits from staying at other hotels. Please help your association meet its contracted obligations by staying at the headquarters hotel.

Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) – Pittsburgh International Airport is located about 20 miles west of downtown Pittsburgh.

NOTE: Sunday, May 7 – Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon

On Sunday, May 7 the city of Pittsburgh is hosting the Dick’s Sporting Goods Marathon. They are anticipating upwards of 40,000 participants. The biggest impact to guests coming in to Pittsburgh is road closures, available parking and early check-in requests at hotels. The majority of the Marathon’s impact occurs in the morning hours; after 1:00 PM most of the city resumes to normal. If you are arriving in Pittsburgh before Sunday afternoon, here are some helpful guides:

General travel information 

Port Authority of Allegheny County is the public transit agency of the greater Pittsburgh area, providing bus, light rail, incline and paratransit service to approximately 215,000 riders daily. View a system map.

Many bus routes offer service using Port Authority’s three exclusive busways – the Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway, the South Busway and the West Busway.

Port Authority’s light rail system – commonly known as the T or trolley – serves Downtown Pittsburgh, the North Shore and destinations in many of the city’s southern neighborhoods and suburbs.

Port Authority also offers a network of Park and Ride lots conveniently located throughout Allegheny County.

The Monongahela Incline and the Duquesne Incline are used by commuters and locals as well as by tourists seeking a skyline view.

Port Authority’s Trip Planner is your key to the system. Use Trip Planner to find the route that gives you the fastest trip or the shortest walking distance, or requires the fewest transfers. Transit trips can also be planned using Google Maps.


Parking at the Convention Center:

A 700-car parking garage with an 8′ clearance is available in the Convention Center. The entrances and exits are located on 10th Street and 11st Street on the eastside of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. For more information, visit Alco Parking Corporation.
