What is a Poster Session?

In a poster session, event attendees view poster displays of projects or research in the areas of 3D printing, additive manufacturing, and 3D imaging. For event attendees, it is an opportunity to gain additional information of interest including a glimpse into the future Additive Manufacturing research, developments and applications. For poster participants, it provides a unique opportunity to share and highlight your work and network with industry professionals.

At the RAPID + TCT Event, posters will be displayed in the exhibits area throughout the show and will be open to all event attendees. On Wednesday, May 10 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm, a special Interactive Poster Session will be held. During this time, poster presenters will be expected to be available at his/her respected posters to interact with guests, answer questions and discuss the technology/features of their display.

What Should You Put on Your Poster?

The content of your poster will summarize and lead viewers through the hypothesis, methodology, results, and conclusion of your research project. It conveys scientific information in a visual format. A viewer should grasp a basic understanding of your project just by viewing your poster. The message should be clear and understandable without oral explanation. It should fit on a poster no larger than 24”(wide) × 36”(long).


NOTE: All poster session participants will be responsible for producing their own poster. SME will provide bulletin boards and push pins. Poster presenters are expected to set up their poster before the exhibits open on Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00 am.

Conference attendees, exhibitors, and speakers are all invited to attend the poster session. This includes the top professionals, researchers, and best thinkers in the global additive manufacturing/3D printing and 3D imaging communities.
